Posted Date: 11/26/2012
The City of Hamilton will be the new home of the national sales office of a fast growing California-based technology company. Liferay, Inc. plans to open its downtown Hamilton location in the Robinson-Schwenn building on High Street shortly after the first of the year, initially employing six (6) individuals, growing to approximately fifteen (15) within the first few years. Even amidst the Great Recession, Liferay, Inc. has consistently delivered double-digit, year-over-year growth, most recently 55% in 2011.

Recently, Liferay executives announced the opening of the Hamilton office during the keynote address at its North American Symposium in San Francisco, California where representatives from more than 180 companies, universities and government agencies came together for the two-day event.

Hamilton City Manager Joshua Smith said, "A company like Liferay represents the future of Hamilton, and particularly its urban core. These are well-paying jobs that will retain and attract highly coveted talent to our city center. I cannot say enough good things about this company, and how proud I am to have them as a part of Hamilton's business community."

Joshua Asbury, Liferay's Director of Corporate Sales said, "Liferay is delighted to open our new U.S. sales office in Hamilton. The city's proximity to nationally recognized universities and world-class corporations will allow us to attract top talent for our growing sales team, and the city's closeness to a large number of major metropolitan areas such as Cincinnati, Chicago, Columbus, Dayton, Indianapolis and Louisville will allow us to better serve our customers here in the Midwest. Additionally, we hope to make a positive impact by bringing job opportunities and economic growth to the City of Hamilton."
