There have been a number of expansions/relocations of new businesses to the City of Hamilton. Industrial, service, and retail projects initiated in Hamilton within the past several years represent projected investment in real and personal property of more than $220 million. More than 2,500 jobs have been, or will be, created as a result of this investment.
In addition to major foreign investments, there have been a number of expansions/relocations of domestic companies in Hamilton. These include plants opened/expanded by Sensus, Matandy Steel & Metal Products, Jackson Lea, Tippman/Interstate Warehousing, Thyssen Krupp, Butler County Imaging and Sleep Centers, KaiVac Cleaning Systems, and United Performance Metals.
Hamilton has also experienced significant growth in its retail and service sector over the last several years. During this time, approximately 650,000 square feet of new retail space has been constructed. Stores that have been opened include a Wal-Mart Super Center, Staples, Hobby Lobby, and several restaurants and specialty retail stores. Investments by these high profile national retailers, in their entirety, are nothing less than a significant vote of confidence for Hamilton, and its future.
